Thanks to G-Unit boss 50 Cent, Kidd Kidd was released on $105,000 in bail today after spending nearly a week on Rikers Island. Kidd was arrested outside of the Best Buy Theater last week for allegedly attacking his girlfriend. Says his lawyer Scott E. Lemon

“We are very happy that [a judge] did the right thing and released Kidd Kidd, despite the DA’s office opposing it. I am glad the label [and 50 Cent] supported him.”

Shortly after that 50 cent released this statement below:

Kidd Kidd is a free man once again after gathering up the bail money on Monday for two separate cases totaling over a hundred grand. The 2015 XXL Freshman was arrested late last month in NYC outside the XXL Freshman event, but thanks to G-Unit head 50 Cent, he was able to obtain $5,000 in bail money for that case as well as a big $100,000 bail money for an unrelated case back in his hometown of New Orleans.

After making bail, Judge Larry Stephen told Kidd Kidd that he has until the end of Thursday to turn himself in to New Orleans police to face his charges there.

Soon after Kidd Kidd’s arrest last Tuesday night, 50 Cent took to Instagram where he vowed to bail out his newest labelmate, and it looks like he was good to his word. Once Kidd Kidd was freed on Monday, Fif couldn’t resist returning to Instagram where he took a shot at Epic Records Urban A&R exec Sha Money XL for not bailing out Epic artist Bobby Shmurda.

“Sha Money did bobby dirty, no bail, don’t visit him or put money on his books. That’s foul sh!t. he told them they was the new G-unit. SMH,” wrote 50.
